Reality Stars in Adventure Race

WASHINGTON,
DC, January 10, 2012 – Rev3 Adventure Race Series announces the
confirmation of an all female adventure reality star team. The four person female team consists of members of A.C.T. Powered by Champion System, Champion System’s Athletic Celebrity Team. The race is set for April 21-22, 2012 at Shenandoah River State Park, Front Royal, VA.
A.C.T. Powered by CHAMPION SYSTEM, has chosen the following four female members to participate in the REV3 adventure race: Eliza Orlins from Survivor Vanautu and Fans vs. Favorites, Jodi Wincheski from season 14 of the Amazing Race, Marissa May from The Bachelor 2011, and Sara Leshner from Season 13 of the Amazing Race. All the women have an athletic
background and are now racing with the Champion System ACT.

are very excited to have our celebrity athletes participate in the REV3
Epic Adventure Race, as well as other REV3 events throughout 2012. The
celebrity talent we have on A.C.T. Powered by Champion System will prove
them selves to be fierce competitors,” said Scott Kaylin, President
and CEO of Champion System.
Adventure
Racing mixes certain outdoor sports into a challenging and exciting
experience. Mountain biking, trail running, trekking, and water sports
are built off a navigation foundation, making for an outdoor multisport
cocktail that will bring out individual and team dynamics never before
experienced. “Rev3 Adventure is honored to have CHAMPION SYSTEM athletes
represent them at this year’s Epic,” stated Charlie Patten, President
of Revultion3 (the parent company of Rev3Adventures).

Rev3’s
Epic Adventure Race is twenty-eight hours of paddling, biking,
trekking, navigating and team bonding. “There are 20 optional
checkpoints on the course and teams can get those points at any time
during the race and cross the finish line in less than 28 hours,” stated
Michael Spiller, Rev3’s Race Director for the Epic.

The Keewaydin Expedition 2012 is a ten man crew embarking on a 65-day paddling voyage from Lake Dunmore in Vermont to the James Bay in Ontario. Here's what they have to say:
There are a few aspects of our trip that make us stand out amongst other canoe
expeditions: 1) Each of us is a counselor at Keewaydin Dummore Camp for boys, a
100+ year old canoeing camp with the largest fleet of wood canvas canoes in the
world, 2) we have a fundraising goal of $250,000 ($60,000 of which has already
been reached) to create an endowment so that disadvantaged children can attend
camps owned by the Keewaydin Foundation free of charge every year in perpetuity,
3) we are paddling wood canvas canoes, which we have designed and built
ourselves, in order to honor the tripping legacy that has endured at Keewaydin
camps for over a century.
